1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are generated on the user’s computer and that allow us to know the frequency of visits, the most selected contents and the security elements that can intervene in the control of access to restricted areas, as well as the display of advertising based on criteria predefined by ROLSER ONLINE, S.L. and which are activated by cookies served by said entity or by third parties that provide these services on behalf of ROLSER ONLINE, S.L.

As a general rule, there are the following types of cookies.

According to the entity managing the domain from which the cookies are sent and which processes the data obtained there are two types of cookies:

·   Third-party cookies are those which are sent to the user’s device from a device or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained by means of the cookies.

In the event that cookies are installed from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself, but the information gathered by the same is managed by a third party, these cannot be considered as own cookies.

Cookies are also classified according to the length of time they are stored in the client’s browser, these can be:

· Persistent cookies: are those in which the data remains stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period of time defined by the party responsible for the cookie, ranging from a few minutes to several years.

Finally, there is another classification with six types of cookies depending on the purpose for which the data obtained are processed:

· Technical cookies: Technical or necessary cookies are essential for our website to function correctly and include basic functionalities such as identifying the session or giving registered users access to restricted areas. For these reasons, technical cookies cannot be deactivated.

·   Marketing cookies: Marketing cookies are used to analyse your behaviour while visiting the website and to enable other providers to offer you personalised and relevant advertising based on your browsing profile.

·   External social media cookies: these are used so that visitors can interact with the content of different social media platforms (facebook, youtube, twitter, linkedin, etc.) and are only generated for users of these social media platforms.
